MEQ-500 Jack Douglas Edition

Pultec had already ported two of their classic solid-state 19" rackmount units, but before bringing their classic MEQ-5 midrange equalizer into the 500 Series family, they consulted with legendary producer Jack Douglas (John Lennon, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, and dozens more), a well-known user of the MEQ-5 - a staple in his guitar, bass, keyboard, and vocal signal chains. Jack suggested a few enhancements to the standard MEQ's passive EQ section, resulting in specific frequency centers being added to overlap the low-mid section and expand the top end, as well as tweaks to the high-mid Q. The Pultec MEQ-500 Jack Douglas Edition lets you fine-tune the crucial midrange of your mixes, where the vocal tracks are most vibrant, where your guitars have girth and body, and generally where mixes either shine or fall flat.
