Description
The Grace Design M905 is a professional-grade reference monitor controller built for critical listening, precision routing, and full system control in high-end studio environments. It serves as the centerpiece for complex monitoring setups, offering reliable control over multiple audio sources, speaker outputs, and headphone mixes. The system includes two main components: the Audio Control Unit (ACU), which handles all audio connections, and the Remote Control Unit (RCU), which provides intuitive control via a color display, tactile buttons, and a large rotary encoder.
The M905 supports a wide range of analog and digital inputs, including USB, AES3, ADAT, S/PDIF, and TOSLINK. It accommodates high-resolution formats such as DSD64 and DSD128, as well as PCM audio up to 24-bit/192kHz. Users can select from three stereo speaker outputs, engage dual headphone outputs, and operate a built-in talkback system for cue and communication. Additional features include crossfeed simulation for headphone monitoring, programmable volume presets, mono and solo functions, and SPL metering. An analog-only version is also available, with optional upgrades like a high-performance phono preamp for turntable integration.
