Description
Description
Mechanics The DAC205 is housed in a silver anodized aluminum frame.
Power Supply Supplied with medical grade power supply. Optional power supply from our PSU101 discrete reference power supply.
Synchronization Extremely efficient Jitter attenuation is applied.
Digital Inputs There are one RCA socket, and one Toslink input connectors.
Analog Outputs Connect your preamplifier to the output connectors of the DAC205. Use either the symmetrical (balanced) lines (XLR) or the asymmetrical (unbalanced) lines (RCA). It is also possible to use both outputs simultaneously. DAC205 and DAC204 use the same d/a module. DAC204 adds USB input for d/a function and digital output capability.
Front panel controls There is a green LED for power on indicator. A switch to select Toslink/SPDIF or RCA input. A power switch handles the power on/off for the external power supply input.
Back panel elements There is a power inlet for the external power supply. Two toggle switches for 4 output level settings. One RCA and one Toslink input connectors and analog outputs on XLR and RCA convectors.
Jitter suppression Several signal reclocking schemes are combined for a high jitter attenuation.
Main Feature The DAC205 is Oversampling sigma delta D/A converters are used. Four D/A Converters per audio channel are operated in parallel for enhanced signal to noise performance.
Digital Inputs There are two AES/EBU (S/PDIF) inputs on RCA and Toslink (optical) connectors. The sampling frequencies supported are 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192kHz.
Analog Outputs The outputs are balanced on XLR connectors and unbalanced on RCA connectors. The XLR outputs have a 6dB higher level than the RCA outputs. The XLR outputs (XLR pin1 and pin3) must not be shorted to ground. i.e. there is no servo circuitry implemented.
Output Level Two switches allow to set 4 different output levels at 10dB steps.
