PMC15 XBD

The PMC15 XBD is a flagship large-format monitoring system designed to deliver uncompromising accuracy, deep low-frequency authority, and exceptional dynamic range for the most elite recording, mixing, and mastering environments. Evolving from the iconic BB5/6 XBD systems, the PMC15 XBD features a dual-cabinet configuration, with each cabinet housing one of PMC’s largest-ever 15-inch bass drivers. These drivers are engineered for massive power handling and minimal distortion, using double-stacked magnet assemblies and advanced 3-inch, three-layer voice coils to deliver truly effortless LF extension and headroom.

Sharing its high- and mid-frequency components with the PMC10 and PMC12 systems, the PMC15 XBD includes a hand-crafted 34mm soft-dome tweeter and the PMC75v3 midrange driver, both integrated through PMC’s n-compass™ waveguide for wide, stable dispersion and precise stereo imaging. System control and amplification come from PMC’s Master36 DSP amplifier and a companion power20 unit, providing a total of 5600W per channel. This includes 800W each to the tweeter and midrange, and 2000W to each of the two bass drivers. All DSP functions, such as crossovers, protection, and room EQ are managed via the SoundAlign2 web interface. Designed for flexible installation (freestanding, stacked, or soffit-mounted), the PMC15 XBD is a true reference-grade solution where absolute sonic truth is essential.
