The Woolly Mammoth Cable MM2552 TRS-XLRF is a balanced audio cable made with Mogami W2552 microphone cable, a Neutrik NP3X 1/4-inch TRS plug, and a Neutrik NC3FXX 3-pin female XLR connector. Mogami W2552 combines a compact profile with an extremely flexible rubber-like PVC jacket designed to resist abrasion and rough handling. Its XLPE insulation helps minimize heat shrinkage during soldering, supporting a clean and durable assembly for studio, stage, broadcast, audio/visual, and other professional audio applications.
The Neutrik NP3X features a slim 14.5 mm shell for use in high-density jackfields, a precision-machined one-piece tip contact, and chuck-style strain relief for reliable cable retention. The NC3FXX female XLR connector uses a rugged nickel-plated zinc diecast shell, silver-plated contacts, an improved solid metal latch, additional ground spring contacts, and chuck-style strain relief for dependable performance under frequent use. This TRS-to-female-XLR configuration is well suited for connecting compatible balanced equipment such as mixers, audio interfaces, patch bays, processors, amplifiers, and other professional audio devices.
